The 1959 Ferrari 14 Louver 250 Tour de France Recreation is a meticulously crafted re-creation of the iconic Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France. Built by Auto Sport Modena, the team responsible for constructing the original nine cars, this vehicle boasts exceptional presence and FIA papers.

The Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France remains one of the most celebrated and important sports cars of all time. With a rich history of racing prowess, including four consecutive victories at the French rally, this model has become affectionately known as the 250 GT Tour de France, or TdF. Ferrari built these cars through early 1959, establishing the 250 GT TdF as one of the most desirable early racing models.

This re-creation is based on a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT Pininfarina Coupe, chassis #1657, which was disassembled and imported to the UK in the 1980s. The build began in 1994, with Carrozzeria Auto Sport of Bastiglia, Italy, constructing alloy coachwork reflecting the desirable 14-louver Long Wheelbase Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’.

This Ferrari features a 3.0-liter inside-plug Colombo V12 engine, numbered 1549, configured to match the original TdF, including triple Weber carburetors with vertical velocity stacks surrounded by a custom fabricated air pan. The engine is paired with a GTE four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, coupled to a central shifter.

The interior has been treated to the finest craftsmanship, with work performed by Tappezzeria Luppi, recognized masters of leather craft for the finest Ferraris. The car features 16” Borrani wire wheels, power-assisted 360mm drum brakes, and a beautifully finished dashboard with large and small dial instruments.

This stunning re-creation of the Ferrari Tour de France presents in excellent condition throughout, with beautifully finished correct Ferrari components and elegant alloy coachwork. The build quality and attention to detail are evident at every corner, with a deep maroon paint finish, high gloss, and vivid depth.

The car comes with extensive documentation, including invoices and letters dating back to the late 1980s, 1990s correspondences from Carrozzeria Auto Sport, DK Engineering letters and faxes, and a copy of a 1996 letter from Ferrari stating the build date for chassis #1657. Additionally, the car has been serviced by top-tier Ferrari specialists, including Patrick Ottis and Legendary Motorcars.
