What you'll do

You'll define what Highway One Magazine becomes while keeping the publishing rhythm practical, polished, and alive.

• Set the editorial vision, voice, and standards for Highway One Magazine.
• Commission, edit, and write digital-first features, essays, interviews, guides, and cultural coverage.
• Build an editorial calendar around cars, collectors, dealers, events, road stories, and the wider classic-car lifestyle.
• Work with Press Corps contributors to turn raw enthusiasm, photography, video, and reporting into polished stories.
• Explore future special print issues that package the best of Highway One around specific themes, events, or collections.

Who you are

• A sharp editor and strong writer with real taste, judgment, and enthusiasm for classic cars.
• Comfortable operating as a founding editor: hands-on, self-directed, and willing to build the playbook while publishing.
• Able to elevate contributors' work while protecting a clear, consistent editorial point of view.
• Interested in both digital publishing and the craft of occasional print-worthy storytelling.
• Prior experience in magazines, editorial leadership, automotive media, culture writing, or high-quality independent publishing is a plus.
